Safety at workplace is so very important an aspect. Employers have always felt the need of safety at the place of their work. It holds even more for these days when we have to spend so much time at our workplaces. The U.S. Federal government has put several laws in force that directs the employers to carry on regular safety training programs for the employees. The modules adopted by the organizations have to be in compliance with the OSHA safety training. This OSHA is the body that certifies the training programs organized on regular basis by the various organizations. Hence, the OSHA safety training is what the training formats designed by the organizations or companies have to be in compliance with.

The safety trainings are meant to provide the employees with the necessary skills to overcome any sort of hazards at the work place. Besides the general safety concerns like fire at workplace, etc. one of the commonest problems that employees of umpteen organizations or companies have to deal with is back injuries. The Bureau of Labor Statistics has declared that every year a million workers, if not more, face this menace. Believe it or not, one out of every five injuries at the workplaces is a back injury or some kind of illness related to back problem. At least that is what hard core data tells us. Consequently about a quarter of the compensatory money that the companies spend over the compensation indemnity claims are related to back injuries. The amount of money that the employers have to pay for the back injuries is in billions of dollars. This becomes one of the prime reasons why industrial safety training modules should include some space related to the back safety training. As a matter fact, the back safety training occupies no less importance than other general trainings for occupational safety like the electrical safety training. Rather, the electrical safety training is quite well established and there are proven effective ways of them. But the case is not the same with the back safety training.

By now it is quite understandable that the employers have to take to a lot of financial set back due to this back injuries. But this seldom reflects the pain and suffering that the employees have to experience due to the back injuries. They are just too painful. The worst part about the back injuries they take a long time to heal. Not only that, to heal a back pain totally is almost an impossible proposition. Besides being exceedingly time consuming, the healing process is a very strict and rigorous method. Once you start suffering from back injuries, it affects all forms of physical activities that one perform. And, back injuries keep recurring. Hence industrial safety training modules are more than incomplete in case there is no space for ways to avoid back problems and injuries.
